about us
Our art gallery is situated in the heart of Highgate Village, London and housed in a listed building which was once a Butchers shop and later a fondly remembered Art Gallery.
Our exhibition calendar is designed with an element of surprise and intrigue, displaying at least five different shows annually. By moving between diverse themes and mediums, we aim to introduce a multidisciplinary examination of contemporary creative thinking.
The gallery is curated by the ideasgallery team: Anna Lotinga and Alice Walters. Both are graduates of the Masters in Museum and Art Gallery Studies from the University of Leeds; a programme recognised for its theoretical examination of curatorial practice. They have previously worked together on projects for the Leeds City Art Gallery, and contribute their own distinct skill sets to create a dynamic and expressive working style.
As a team Anna and Alice are enthusiastic about creating a successful and dynamic creative enterprise.
Anna Lotinga: “As the space develops we aim to build upon existing links with educational institutions, foster deeper relationships with the local Haringey community, and initiate projects with disparate groups of people working in creative disciplines.”
Alice Walters: “With this in mind we aspire to create an informal, friendly space for the building and sharing of thoughts and ideas.”
The ideasgallery is now actively seeking publicity and support from benefactors and possible sponsors who share our creative ideals. For more information please contact Anna Lotinga at anna@northandsouthideas.com or on 020 8348 2299.
